Rosstandart banned sales of several models of Chinese trucks and truck cranes

Inspections revealed violations in brakes, cabin protection, and other systems responsible for the safety of drivers and passengers

In Russia, the release and sale of several models of trucks, tractors, truck cranes, and special equipment have been banned. Rosstandart made the decision after unscheduled on-site inspections, during which it found non-compliance with safety requirements. The restrictions affected Chinese and other brands of vehicles.

The list includes light trucks Dongfeng type DFRZ-35, medium-duty Foton type 77N5BJ, and JAC K7 tractors. The restrictions also apply to XCMG truck cranes of types XCT50G5-1S and XCA200G7-1S.

The ban also extends to special equipment of types 77ADJL based on JAC, SE27 based on Kia, TD-001 based on Shacman, N382a-A2 based on FAW, and KFN332 based on Ford.

Among the identified violations are non-compliance with requirements for braking systems, the level of visible pollutants in exhaust, injury safety of external protrusions, and seat belt fastenings. The regulator also had complaints about the protective properties of cabins.

In addition, inspections revealed violations of requirements for external and internal noise, emergency call devices, lighting, and light signaling. Remarks also concerned the side and rear protective devices of cargo transport. According to Rosstandart, such non-compliances can increase the risk of accidents and pose a threat to drivers, passengers, and other road users.

The agency issued directives to representatives of manufacturers and factories. They need to prepare programs to eliminate violations and prevent possible harm. The measures should apply to both unsold vehicles and equipment already in operation.

Dealers will have to notify owners of affected models about the procedure for free elimination of identified defects. According to Rosstandart, company representatives reported suspending sales of the relevant equipment and began preparing programs to eliminate violations. Restrictions may be lifted after all identified non-compliances are eliminated.
