The Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST) has estimated the average production rate of Su-34 front-line bombers in Russia. According to its data, in 2024, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 16 serial aircraft, and in 2025 — 18.
This gives an average rate of 1.33 and 1.5 aircraft per month, respectively. CAST estimated the total number of Su-34s built by early 2026 at 212 units, including seven experimental and pre-production models.
In 2025, the aircraft were delivered in seven batches — usually two or three aircraft at a time.
Combat vehicles also undergo regular modernization, as noted by retired Major General Vladimir Popov. According to his assessment, the improvements affected the electronic filling of the engines, which reduced fuel consumption.
