From January to September 2026, almost 10 thousand new cars of the Moskvich brand were sold in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the capital's concern.
According to Avtostat agency, 11.2 thousand new Moskvich cars were sold on the Russian market in 9 months of 2025. This year, sales of cars of this brand have slightly decreased.
The most popular model was the modern urban front-wheel drive crossover Moskvich 3 (a rebadged Chinese JAC JS4 model). It accounts for about 80% of total sales (about 8 thousand units).
The press service clarified that in September 2026, the total sales volume of the Moskvich brand's M-line (the family of Moskvich M70 and Moskvich M90 crossovers) since the start of sales (March 2026) exceeded 1000 units. Of these, about 70% are Moskvich M70, and the remaining 30% are Moskvich M90.
In 2027, the capital's plant plans to release the M70 plug-in hybrid and a hybrid version of the new generation M90.
