The 'invasion' of humanoid robots into construction sites in Russia is unlikely due to the complexity of construction operations, which are currently only within human capabilities. This opinion was expressed by Anton Glushkov, President of the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY), at the 100+ TechnoBuild forum in Yekaterinburg.
When we talk about robotization in construction, I would rather talk about automation in construction today. We are still far from robots.
Glushkov disagrees with colleagues who believe that the issue is about price. When the cost of robots drops to $10,000 per unit, they will appear on construction sites, experts believe.
However, the President of NOSTROY doubted that androids would become cheaper in the near future. In addition, automated machines are more likely to be suitable for performing simple, routine operations, Glushkov emphasized.
Robotic systems are now actively being introduced into industrial production. But the current level of technology is not enough for machines to be in demand in individual construction, he concluded.
