The TopBat battery from RT-Proektnye Tekhnologii (part of Rostec) worked for six hours in an aquarium with live fish. The device continued to power a light bulb while underwater — none of the fish were harmed. According to a representative of the developing company, the experiment confirmed the complete sealing of the casing and the harmlessness of the product.
The company noted that classic rechargeable batteries cannot be stored indoors due to harmful fumes. Thanks to the absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, TopBat can be placed even in facilities with increased technical requirements.
Where it is used
TopBat batteries are used on ground and marine drones. A separate AQUA AGM line is designed for aquatic vehicles, manufactured according to marine and river register standards. It is resistant to salt water.
The AGM technology is based on a fiberglass 'sponge' saturated with electrolyte. Such a battery cannot leak, can be mounted in any position, and is resistant to temperature changes and casing damage. The lifespan of individual models reaches 10 years.
