The crew of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile-gun system shot down three Flamingo missiles with just one salvo. The combat episode was recounted by soldiers with the call signs Barnaul and Hacker.
According to the serviceman, the speed of the Flamingo was about 600 km/h, and the crew made the decision to engage in just one second.
We saw a large fiery spot — a torch. Accordingly, the target speed was above 180 m/s. We made a decision literally within one second. All three cruise missiles were hit with one shot.
It should be noted that the Pantsir-S is capable of simultaneously engaging multiple aerial targets. Open technical data indicate the possibility of simultaneously engaging up to four targets, and the control system allows for the guidance of several anti-aircraft missiles. Therefore, the serviceman's words about hitting three Flamingo missiles 'with one shot' without additional data cannot be interpreted as confirmation that all three targets were destroyed by a single anti-aircraft missile.
