Eidos Robototekhnika has released a new version of the ErCode software environment for working with industrial robots. Now, most operations for configuring and maintaining equipment are performed via a network connection, including working with programs, logs, signals, commands, and configurations. The company manufactures and integrates, in particular, welding robots, palletizers, collaborative robots, and robots for machine loading.
The main change concerns the method of robot maintenance itself. For some operations, the engineer no longer needs to transfer data using a flash drive or work through a physical HMI interface. Instead, a network connection is used.
Through ErCode, robot programs can be updated, edited, and uploaded. The system also allows for logging and analyzing logs, i.e., records of equipment operation.
Program verification for unauthorized changes is separately provided. In addition, signals and commands can be updated and edited through the environment, as well as working with points, global data, and robot configurations.
According to Eidos Robototekhnika, the new version of ErCode has been tested on existing projects. The company reports that the tool's functionality and its convenience for engineering and service tasks were confirmed during this work. However, specific test results are not provided.
