Supercam drones were used for reconnaissance during the CSTO exercises in Kazakhstan. This was reported to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" by GK "Besplotnye Sistemy". According to the exercise scenario, illegal armed groups seized a conditional settlement, took hostages, and attempted to transfer additional forces across the border. Situational awareness throughout the operation was provided by unmanned aerial systems, including Supercam S350 and the high-speed reconnaissance drone Supercam S180 with FHD video cameras.
Video from the UAVs was broadcast directly to the command post. This helped to quickly analyze information and accurately plan actions.
Units from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan participated in the maneuvers. In total, about 1,500 personnel and more than 300 units of military and special equipment were involved, including 115 drones. The Russian side was represented by units of the 201st military base of the Central Military District, as well as crews of reconnaissance and FPV drones.
About the Equipment
Supercam S350 is the flagship model of GK "Besplotnye Sistemy". The aircraft flies for up to 4.5 hours, operates at a range of up to 100 km, with a maximum flight range of 240 km, and an altitude of up to 5000 m. It can carry cameras, thermal imagers, and laser scanners.
Previously, we reported that the high-speed reconnaissance drone Supercam S180 was first shown at Dubai Airshow 2025 along with the flagship S350; at that time, its ability to fly for up to two hours and its short-term acceleration, making it unreachable for FPV drones, were noted. That material also mentioned that Supercam X4 was successfully tested at CSTO and "Zapad-2025" exercises, which confirms the regular use of Supercam equipment in such maneuvers. In addition, we wrote that Supercam UAV crews transmit real-time data about the enemy to command posts and help guide artillery — these tasks are consistent with the goals of the current exercises.
