In Dubna, Moscow Region, in the autumn of 2026, they plan to begin serial production of a new dual-band radio module YADRO BTS8100 for LTE and 5G networks. The company invested 1.2 billion rubles in the development, and the production itself will be deployed at the YADRO Fab Dubna plant in the Dubna SEZ.
The new device works with two frequency bands at once, 2100 and 2600 MHz. Currently, different bands may require separate equipment, and their combination in one radio module allows operators to optimize the composition of the base station.
The new module is the first in the YADRO line with four antenna ports and support for MIMO 4×4 technology. It allows data to be transmitted simultaneously through multiple antennas, which is used to increase network throughput.
The device is designed to work in both LTE and 5G networks. The declared power is up to 80 W per antenna port, or up to 320 W total. The weight of the radio module is 29.5 kg, the operating temperature range is from minus 40°C to plus 55°C.
In the first quarter of 2027, the company expects to begin production of the next radio module – for the 800 and 900 MHz bands. After that, the equipment is planned to be tested and implemented jointly with Russian telecom operators.
The production of YADRO base stations in Dubna has already been launched. Serial production began in December 2025, and the company's equipment is used in commercial networks of Beeline and MegaFon in 37 regions of Russia.
The development of a new radio module is taking place against the backdrop of the expansion of fifth-generation networks in Russia
On September 11, 2026, commercial 5G networks were launched in 16 cities. According to the Ministry of Digital Development, about 10 million people gained access to them.
These cities include Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Samara, Veliky Novgorod, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver, Volgograd, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, and Yaroslavl. In different cities, networks are launched by different operators of the 'big four'.
At the same time, 5G development is still proceeding in stages. Even before the launch of commercial networks, operators were allowed to use previously allocated LTE frequencies for 5G, and in September 2026, commercial deployment of networks began in the first cities.
