Concreting of the turbine hall slab has been completed at the fourth power unit of the Akkuyu NPP under construction in Turkey. Rosatom reported on the work. After the concreting was finished, specialists proceeded to prepare the foundation for the turbine generator.
The new slab will form the floor of the turbine hall. At its level, maintenance of the main equipment will be organized, including the turbine, turning gear, and generator. The structure must provide the necessary rigidity and withstand the dynamic loads of the operating equipment in accordance with design requirements.
The next stage at the construction site will be the preparation of the foundation for the turbine generator.
Akkuyu NPP is being built in Turkey as a project with four power units equipped with VVER-1200 reactors. Earlier, work on the installation of reactor plant components and equipment supply, including steam generators manufactured by Atommash, had already been carried out at the fourth unit.
