Old iPhones are getting more expensive in Russia for the first time in years

Stock is estimated at 300-400 thousand devices

Apple raised prices for the iPhone 16 and 17 series by $100 due to component costs, including memory and storage. In Russia, currency exchange rates, logistics, and parallel import conditions are added to this. According to Yandex Market, in the week from September 7 to 13, the iPhone 17 Pro Max increased in price by an average of 10%, and the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max by 5%.

In Citilink, the most significant correction is expected in October, noting that it will not be possible to offset purchase prices with margins due to high competition.

M.Video points to sufficient stock of previous models, which smooths out changes. DNS did not see a significant price increase – after presentations, product lines usually become cheaper.

An analyst at Mobile Research Group estimates the stock of iPhone 16 and 17 in Russia at 300–400 thousand devices and believes that with weak demand, it will be difficult to significantly raise prices.
