TD "Gefest" has launched a workshop for milling large-sized parts for high-power laser machines in St. Petersburg. The new section is capable of processing beds, frames, and portals up to 8 meters long and weighing up to 40 tons. This was reported by the press service of the SME Corporation.
To implement the project, the enterprise attracted 200 million rubles of preferential financing under the Ministry of Industry and Trade program. The launch of the workshop will increase the volume of operations at its own facilities and expand the production of large-sized equipment. By 2030, TD "Gefest" plans to launch an updated line of high-power SEKIRUS CNC laser machines and produce at least 30 units per year.
The company has implemented more than 600 projects for the introduction of laser technologies in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The new workshop will reduce costs for third-party contractors and transportation of large parts, as well as improve control over deadlines and quality.
