The "Soyuz-2.1b" launch vehicle with the "Progress MS-35" cargo spacecraft was again rolled out to launch complex No. 31 of Baikonur after the malfunction of the third stage was eliminated.
The launch vehicle was returned to the launch pad on September 13, and the launch to the International Space Station is scheduled for September 16 at 18:33 Astana time (16:33 Moscow time). The postponement was previously reported after technical problems were identified after the first rollout of the rocket to the launch pad.
For "Soyuz-2.1b", this is the second rollout to the launch pad within one mission. The first took place on September 6, but during preparation, specialists discovered a problem in the third stage. On September 8, the rocket was removed from the launch pad and returned to the assembly and testing facility for work, which caused the initial launch on September 9 to be postponed by a week.
After repairs, the launch vehicle was again delivered by rail to launch pad No. 6 and moved to a vertical position. In the coming days, specialists must complete checks of the rocket and the launch complex before launch. At the same time, Roscosmos did not publicly disclose the nature of the third stage malfunction.
"Progress MS-35" is to deliver more than 2.5 tons of cargo to the ISS for the crew.
