The first Russian passenger jet bridge, developed by specialists from the Central Research Institute of Automation and Hydraulics (TsNIIAG, part of the "Vysokotochnye Kompleksy" holding), may be installed at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport. This became known at a meeting between Alexander Dernovoy, Deputy General Director of the holding for the promotion of civilian products, and Sergey Bubnov, Executive Director of the air harbor (Elizovo).
Dernovoy and Bubnov discussed the requirements for integrating the jet bridge into the airport's infrastructure and its technical maintenance. In particular, the parameters for docking with the apron, power supply, control and safety systems.
The top manager of "Vysokotochnye Kompleksy" inspected the airport's existing "sleeves". The interior and exterior of the new jet bridge are planned to be made in a unified style.
The installation of the first Russian airport sleeve in Kamchatka is one of the possible options for its pilot operation.
The jet bridge is planned to be tested in climatic conditions as close as possible to its extreme technical characteristics, the press service concluded.
