Nizhny Novgorod shipbuilders launched the live crab catcher "Kapitan Grishin" (project SSа5712LS). The vessel is being built at Okskaya Shipyard (Navashino, Nizhny Novgorod region) as part of the state "Quotas for Keel" program for GK "Russky Krab".
Sergey Goryachev, CEO of GK "Russky Krab", stated that a modern crab catcher is not just a vessel, but "a fusion of advanced engineering and the highest safety standards".

The vessel was named after Boris Grishin, captain of the Soviet floating crab-fish cannery "Alexander Kosarev". In total, Okskaya Shipyard will build 6 crab catchers of project SSа5712LS by 2028.
The GK "Russky Krab" fleet numbers more than 40 units, including trawler-processors and live crab catchers. The vessels are equipped with refrigeration units that maintain water temperature for live crabs up to 1 °C.
