Replacing helicopters: Serial production of single-person eVTOL aircraft launched in Kuzbass

The vehicle with 8 electric motors can stay in the air for up to 30 minutes

Mass production of single-person electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft has been launched in Kemerovo. This was announced by the technical director of the enterprise, Maxim Ivlev.

According to him, all eVTOL components are Russian, except for the motors and batteries. The maximum production volume is up to 100 aircraft per year.

In Russia, we are the only manufacturer. Five private individuals have already ordered and are awaiting the equipment.

This new type of individual transport leaves no carbon footprint. It is equipped with 8 electric motors and can reach speeds of up to 95 km/h in operator-free mode.

The eVTOL lineup includes modifications with different payload capacities depending on the person's weight: up to 75 kg, up to 90 kg, and up to 110 kg. Flight time with an operator on board is 30 minutes.

According to Ivlev, such aircraft will soon replace helicopters. Composite materials, including carbon fiber, are used in their production to lighten the structure.

The control module has modern electronics built in. The aircraft is equipped with an automatic stabilization system and has an automatic rescue parachute activation function.

The development by Kemerovo engineers can be flown in clear weather with visibility of at least 2 km and at air temperatures from +30°C to -15°C. eVTOL operators are recommended to take a course in meteorology and aerodynamics to prepare for flights.
