The Ka-52E combat helicopter was demonstrated for the first time with the "Strelets" control complex and launch modules for using "Igla-S" and "Verba" man-portable air-defense system missiles. The display took place at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt.
"Strelets" automates the launch of anti-aircraft missiles from the helicopter's board, turning man-portable systems into part of its own armament. According to the developer, the system is designed for using "Igla-S" and "Verba" against low-flying aircraft, helicopters, drones, and cruise missiles, including when targets are moving head-on or in pursuit.
For the Ka-52E, such equipment expands its capabilities for protection against aerial threats without a separate ground-based MANPADS crew. The complex integrates control equipment and launch modules placed directly on the carrier.
Earlier, Rostec first publicly presented the "Dan-T" loitering munition in Egypt, capable of hitting targets at a distance of several hundred kilometers. The design is intended for air launch, including from helicopters.
