Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi personally observed the demonstration flight of the Russian 5th generation fighter Su-57E. The capabilities of the combat vehicle were demonstrated during the opening of the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in El Alamein.

The flight was broadcast by the local TV channel DMC; the fighter performed at extreme regimes and demonstrated unique supermaneuverability capabilities due to engines with thrust vector control.
The Su-57 performed a complex set of aerobatic maneuvers, including "Pugachev's Cobra", "Bell", "Flat Spin" and other elements.
In addition, during a pass over the main tribune, the Su-57 demonstrated the operation of the internal weapon bay doors, where the latest models of guided missiles are located, in front of the President of Egypt and foreign delegations.
Test pilot Sergey Bogdan of the Sukhoi Design Bureau explained that the Su-57 is the only aircraft in the world that can perform an "ascending spin" thanks to its thrust vectoring engines.
