In Russia, 2216 new passenger electric vehicles were sold in August, which is 105% more than in the same month of 2025 (1081 units). This was announced by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Avtostat agency.
First place in the model top went to the Russian crossover Evolute I-Joy (619 units). It is followed by the Chinese SUV Changan Qiyuan Q05 (524 units). The Russian UMO5 (354 units) also made it into the top three.
In fourth place was the Japanese electric car Toyota BZ3X (155 units), and the Chinese business-class fastback Avatr 11 (115 units) rounded out the top five.
Sales of the domestic "Atom" are "not very brisk yet," Tselikov noted. In the last month of summer, only 11 electric vehicles of this brand were registered. A total of 40 units have been registered since the start of sales.
Tselikov added that Russians preferred the most affordable electric vehicle models. Their price did not exceed 3 million rubles.
