Russia has made significant progress in the production of automotive parts and components since 2022. As part of the "Autocomponents" program, the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) issued 132 billion rubles in preferential loans for 107 projects, said Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.

According to Manturov, the adopted support measures guarantee that the Russian automotive industry will ensure the production of modern models regardless of external factors. At the same time, production should be in such volumes as to supply cars to the domestic market and export them to other countries, he added.

Currently, there are more than 20 brands and over 50 models from Russian manufacturers on the market. Another "several dozen" are models of light commercial, freight transport, and buses, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

From January to July 2026, over 565 thousand cars rolled off assembly lines in Russia, which is 15.5% more than the result of 2025 for the same period. Manturov called this dynamic positive. He also urged factories to actively cooperate with domestic manufacturers of automotive components.
