In addition to S7, other Russian airlines are already discussing the acquisition of Tu-214 airliners. This was stated by Gennady Abramenkov, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to him, negotiations with S7 are specifically underway regarding supply parameters and the financial model. The leasing rate is still unknown.
Among the operators who would like to use this aircraft are Red Wings, Yakutia Airlines. There are also other potential customers who are currently discussing the acquisition of these aircraft.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that even producing five aircraft a year would be a huge success. The problem lies in the large amount of manual labor, and the production process takes a long time.
