Rostec for the first time publicly presented in Egypt the "Dan-T" loitering munition, capable of hitting targets at a distance of several hundred kilometers. The product received a small-sized jet engine and a special flight mode designed to reduce its visibility to air defense systems.
The world premiere took place at the El Alamein International Airshow in 2026. Rostec has not yet specified the flight range, but reports that it is several hundred kilometers.
"Dan-T" belongs to the "fire-and-forget" class of munitions: after separating from the carrier, the device continues its flight to the target autonomously. The design is intended for air launch, and this applies not only to Russian but also to foreign aircraft and helicopters, which expands the potential range of carriers.
Rostec separately points out its high cruising speed and the presence of a stealth flight mode against air defense. The company also reported that the product has undergone a series of tests as an aerial weapon, and its effectiveness, according to the corporation, has been confirmed by hundreds of successful launches.
