The cost of one Banderol missile is estimated at 25 to 30 thousand dollars, which is about half the price of the Geran-4 jet drone. This assessment was provided by analysts from "Voennaya Khronika".
Military experts have calculated that the number of Banderol drones used is also rapidly increasing.
If six months ago they were used one or two times a week, now 10-20 are used per day in just one direction.
Alexander Stepanov, a military expert at the Institute of Law and National Security of RANEPA, called the economic component one of the key advantages of the new missile. At the same time, almost the entire nomenclature of the Russian Aerospace Forces can become carriers – there will be no need to build a new bomber.
The official characteristics of the Banderol have not been disclosed. According to open sources, the fuselage length is about 5 m, and it was made with stealth elements. The wingspan of the retractable wing is 2.2 m. The fuel reserve is 50–65 kg, and the flight range is 500 km.
