Kazan Helicopter Plant financially recovered

The Kazan Helicopter Plant managed to solve its main financial problem – eliminating huge debts. This was reported by the local publication "BUSINESS Online".

About 25 billion rubles were allocated for the modernization of the enterprise under Nikolay Kolesov, head of "Russian Helicopters", and the equipment fleet was replenished with more than 200 processing complexes.

In Kazan, the import-substituted "Ansat" and Mi-34 were also flown, and the Mi-38 moved to the stage of lead operation.

Kolesov resolved the issue of financial recovery of KVZ – he eliminated problematic debts, which amounted to 13.5 billion rubles.

Now Kolesov himself may leave "Russian Helicopters" and move to a leadership position in Rostec, journalists claim.

By the end of 2025, KVZ reported revenue of 58.4 billion rubles – lower than the previous year's figure. One of the reasons was the reduction in export supplies, which brought the plant significantly more profit.

The model range of the Kazan enterprise consists of Mi-8, "Ansat", Mi-38, Mi-34. Earlier, lawsuits were filed against it due to a debt of 881 million rubles.
