Chizh boat with a hull made of welded low-pressure polyethylene launched in the Arctic

The Project 10702 vessel, equipped with a Yamaha engine, will be operated in the port of Murmansk

The multi-purpose port boat "Chizh" (Project 10702), whose hull is made of welded low-pressure polyethylene (HDPE), was launched in Murmansk. This was reported by the press service of the shipbuilding company "Brisk".

"Chizh" is designed for transporting personnel and delivering cargo, supporting diving operations and operations with remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs). It can be operated up to 10 km from the shore at air temperatures from -25°C to +45°C.

A feature of the boat is the use of new materials that are resistant to marine fouling and do not require periodic painting/cleaning. The service life of low-pressure polyethylene is at least 25 years.

  • Yamaha outboard engine with 90 hp
  • Communication means: chartplotter, digital radar and echo sounder
  • Searchlights around the perimeter of the wheelhouse

For the convenience of passengers, the boat is equipped with armchairs with armrests and USB sockets. The cabin is heated by 2 fuel heaters and 2 electric fan heaters. "Chizh" will be operated in the port of Murmansk, in the coastal waters from Guba Ura to Teriberka.
