The missile of the new "Iskander-1000" complex can be equipped with gas-dynamic rudders for control and aerodynamic surfaces for maneuvering in dense atmospheric layers. Analysts from "Voennaya Khronika" reported on the details of the ammunition's control, citing sources.

Presumably, the design of the "Iskander-1000" missile allows it to perform maneuvers with overloads of up to 25-30 g.

According to some data – up to 230 units in individual nodes, which makes the projectile invulnerable to mechanical interception.

Analysts added that the new generation solid fuel in the 9M723-2 missile presumably allows it to ascend to an altitude of up to 130 km at apogee and then dive towards the target at enormous speed.

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev explained that the 9M723-2 is capable of carrying high-explosive fragmentation or cluster warheads weighing up to 300–350 kg. In the West, it was noted that the missile's circular error probable does not exceed five meters.
