Scientists from South Ural State University (SUSU) have developed an AI service that searches texts for mentions of foreign agents, extremist and undesirable organizations, as well as individuals from the Rosfinmonitoring list.
The system automatically extracts names, organization names, and material titles from PDF and TXT documents, and then cross-references them with several official databases. These include the registry of foreign agents, lists of undesirable and extremist organizations, the federal list of extremist materials, and Rosfinmonitoring data on individuals and entities associated with terrorism.
After verification, the service generates a report and displays the found matches along with their context. However, it does not assign any statuses itself.
This is not a system for "calculating" or automatic condemnation. The service shows matches and context, and the final decision always rests with a human.
The database is updated automatically every day at 3:00 AM local time; if necessary, the update can be initiated manually. The developers position the system as a tool for preliminary document verification before consulting official sources.
