Servicemen of the air defense (AD) unit of the "Sever" group of forces of the Russian Armed Forces used "Roi" copter-type interceptor drones to combat enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The agency emphasized that the "Roi" drones hit aerial targets, preventing them from reaching protected objects. The copters demonstrated high efficiency, including against heavy long-range "Lyutyi" aircraft-type drones.
AD crews work around the clock. Objective control means confirm the destruction of enemy attack drones, summarized the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The "Roi" interceptor drones were not previously mentioned in the media. Information about them first appeared in August 2026. Servicemen of the "Dnepr" group used the newest copters against enemy R-18 drones.
