Dovod ground robot to get increased payload capacity for FPV drone delivery

Range of application will increase after the launch of the Rassvet satellite system

Russian specialists are working on a new version of the Dovod ground robotic system, which will be able to carry more drones, TASS was told by the Ovod engineering and production center. Currently, the platform transports up to four FPV drones, but in the future, each box should accommodate at least two or three devices.

The complex is used to automate the delivery and launch of drones in hard-to-reach areas where it is dangerous to send people. Dovod can also be used for ambushes and other tasks. Currently, it allows for unmanned deployment to the combat mission area up to 20 km from operators, and FPV drones can be launched at distances up to 35 km from the takeoff point.

The increase in range directly depends on communication. The Ovod center noted that they are awaiting the full launch of the Rassvet satellite system, which will expand the radius of application. The complex has already been tested at the front line.
