The light aircraft "Gorynych" was developed by a team of seven specialists in a garage in Blagoveshchensk. The construction of the aircraft, which could potentially replace the An-2, was carried out according to their own design.
The project belongs to investor Dmitry Lain and designer-engineer Oleg Zakharchuk. The cost of creating and building the aircraft is comparable to the price of a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 and does not exceed 20 million rubles, Lain said.
Such a cost is due to the fact that the aircraft is not mass-produced; it is a unique specimen whose parts have been repeatedly refined. The developers believe that "Gorynych" could provide cargo delivery to remote areas of the country.
It's like a cargo plane. For example, you need to deliver a spare part to a site where equipment has broken down.
Technical characteristics of "Gorynych":
- empty aircraft weight — about 1,250 kg;
- maximum takeoff weight — 2.5 t
- payload — up to 1,250 kg
- cruising speed — 180–190 km/h
- maximum speed — about 220–230 km/h
- flight range — up to 1,400 km
Currently, "Gorynych" is in Lain's warehouse. Then it will be moved to a private airfield where wings and propellers will be installed. The assembly of the aircraft will be completed in September 2026.
The aircraft will be inspected by a special commission that will determine if it can be operated. After receiving permission, the developers plan to begin testing.
