The Russian Geran-4 jet attack drone set a flight range record. The drone covered 900 km, reported military blogger Kirill Fedorov.
According to him, the Geran-4 spent 1 hour and 50 minutes on the entire journey.
Apparently, this range was provided to the drone by new Telefly LX-WP-160 and Telefly TF-TJ2000A engines.
Thanks to this, the drone can reach speeds of up to 500 km/h and climb to an altitude of up to 5000 m, but there was no information on its range of action.
After modernization, the apparatus received a new aerodynamic design with a reinforced structure. The wings no longer detach from the center section, and the number of technological hatches on the body has been reduced to decrease air resistance.
The Geran-4 is capable of carrying a 50 kg high-explosive fragmentation or thermobaric warhead, or an enlarged thermobaric warhead of up to 90 kg.
