Anti-drone cartridge with zero recoil: Russian inventor came up with a way to hit UAVs from any weapon

Symmetrical case design improves shooting accuracy

Russian inventor Vladimir Ryzhkin has received a patent for ammunition to combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The development is intended for use in devices for hitting small air targets.

The ammunition is made in the form of a bidirectional cartridge case. The explosive is located in the center, and insulating pads, wads, and striking elements are symmetrically placed on both sides of it. When fired, the charges detonate simultaneously in both directions, and the recoil impulse is completely extinguished inside the device.

A graphic mark in the form of a ring is applied to the outer surface of the cartridge case, in the area where the charge is located. It indicates the place for installing the initiation device. This simplifies the use of ammunition and ensures accurate operation.

Full recoil compensation during firing allows shooting at drones with high accuracy without weapon displacement and makes the ammunition promising for shooting at small and maneuverable targets.
