Serial production of stamped body parts for UAZ vehicles has been launched in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Now, the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant site will produce body elements for the entire range of the brand's cars.
The project was implemented at the facilities of the Zavolzhsky branch of UAZ. Universal presses with a force of up to 100 tons, as well as equipment for automatic stamping, have already been launched in production.
By the end of 2026, the enterprise plans to master the production of more than 650 types of parts. The expected production volume will be about 10 million units per year.
UAZ and Sollers Production Expansion
In 2026–2027, UAZ plans to open six new production facilities with a total investment of over 12 billion rubles — the most ambitious transformation in the company's history.
Concurrently, its own press base is developing in Ulyanovsk: Sollers launched the stamping of body parts in the Ulyanovsk region for 1.1 billion rubles, using galvanized steel from the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works. Currently, this line is focused on Sollers pickups, but in the future, it is planned to produce parts for UAZ vehicles as well.
Earlier, at the Nizhny Novgorod site of ZMZ, the production of electromechanical transfer cases for UAZ "Patriot", "Pickup", and "Profi" was launched, with a capacity of about 20 thousand units per year.
