Chinese aircraft component manufacturers from Sichuan province may start operations in Tatarstan. The local Sichuan Association in Russia and CIS countries intends to attract component suppliers and manufacturing enterprises to the republic, including for the aviation industry.
According to Zeng Aiguo, president of the association, the aviation industry has entered the top three promising areas of cooperation between Sichuan and Tatarstan. Other areas include new materials, artificial intelligence, and the oil and gas industry.
We hope to take advantage of this window of opportunity to attract more high-quality manufacturing enterprises and aviation component suppliers from Sichuan to work in Tatarstan.
It should be noted that the Kazan Aviation Plant operates in Tatarstan, where the production of passenger Tu-214s is being revived and Tu-160 strategic bombers are being built.
