AvtoVAZ launched the plant after a three-week break and is preparing to release Lada Azimut

Equipment was modernized at the production facility

AvtoVAZ resumed operations after a three-week corporate vacation and completed the main work on preparing for the production of Lada Azimut. During this time, more than 13 thousand various tasks were completed at the enterprises, and over 375 million rubles were allocated for the repair, maintenance and modernization of production infrastructure.

The main task was to prepare the equipment for the serial production of the new Lada Azimut crossover. The final work took place in the welding shop and on the main assembly line. Now the production line is being adapted directly for the mass production of the new model.

In parallel, AvtoVAZ modernized the production of Lada Niva Legend. The work also affected the welding and assembly shops. They should allow the enterprise to reach the design capacity for the production of the updated version of the SUV.

The updated Niva Legend received galvanized body parts, a modernized interior and a new 1.8-liter engine.

Lada Azimut is a new mid-size crossover. At the start of production, the car will receive Russian engines with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters, which will work in conjunction with a manual or automatic transmission. Azimut power units have been tested for compliance with the Euro-6 environmental standard.
