The court rejected three lawsuits filed by the Russian Ministry of Defence against PAO "Zavod Tula" for a total amount of almost 1.446 billion rubles. The proceedings took place in the Arbitration Court of the Tula Region in a closed session, so the reasons for the military department's claims and the grounds for refusing to satisfy them have not yet been disclosed.
According to the arbitration case file, decisions on the three disputes were issued from July 28 to August 12, 2026. In all cases, the court denied the Ministry of Defence's claims for the stated amounts.
Several organizations participated in the proceedings as third parties, including OOO "Voenno-promyshlennaya kompaniya", AO "Center for Applied Physics of Bauman Moscow State Technical University", Central Research and Design Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics (TsNII RTK), NPP "Termotech" and the "Sozvezdie" concern.
"Zavod Tula" is not an ordinary machine-building enterprise. The company specializes in the development and serial production of mobile radiation, chemical, and biological reconnaissance vehicles for RChBZ troops. The enterprise has created RKhM-2S, RKhM-4, RKhM-5, RKhM-6, RKhM-8, and RKhM-9.
One of the most famous modern developments of the enterprise is the RKhM-9 based on the KamAZ-63969 "Typhoon" armored vehicle. The vehicle is designed to collect data on radiation, chemical, and biological conditions, with part of the information being accessible to the crew without leaving the protected hull. The complex is also equipped with remote reconnaissance tools.
