Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation presented developments for the urban infrastructure of the Far North at the "Arctic – Regions" forum. Among the exhibits were the new generation DS10 traffic light, streetlights, and a high-precision electronic total station, all designed to operate at extremely low temperatures.
The DS10 regulates traffic and pedestrian flows and can connect to the "Smart City" intelligent system. A full-size LED RGB matrix makes signals clearly visible in low visibility conditions, and an additional LED profile along the posts duplicates them at night and during snowfall. Cameras and environmental monitoring sensors can be integrated into the device.
For street lighting in polar night conditions, DSU1 luminaires are offered: the Max model with 240 W power operates at temperatures down to –60 °C, while the Standard 60 W model is designed for less loaded objects. The 6Ta1 electronic total station provides an angular measurement error of one second – this is the first domestic device of its class. In its northern version, it withstands temperatures down to –50 °C.
As noted by the holding, anti-corrosion materials, special alloys, and modern optical technologies capable of withstanding the Arctic cold are used for the production of the equipment. The equipment can be used in the construction of roads, public spaces, and other facilities in the Arctic zone.
