Laser up to 9 kW against drones: "Granat" complexes based on KAMAZ and UAZ shown in Arkhangelsk

The systems are designed for searching, detecting, and recognizing drones with subsequent destruction by laser radiation

Two mobile laser complexes for detecting and destroying drones – "Granat-9.1" and "Granat-4.2" – were showcased in Arkhangelsk. The developer was OKB "Granat", which presented the equipment at the IV forum "Arctic – Regions".

The complexes are designed for searching, detecting, and recognizing attacking UAVs with subsequent destruction of targets by laser radiation.

The older version, "Granat-9.1", is mounted on a KAMAZ chassis and is designed for operation in conditions requiring increased cross-country capability. The power of the high-power laser emitter is at least 9 kW, and the declared range is from 200 to 1500 m.

"Granat-4.2" is based on a UAZ. Its high-power emitter has a power of at least 4 kW and operates at a distance of 200 to 1200 m.

To protect large objects, several complexes can be combined into a spatially distributed system with a single control center.

The IV forum "Arctic – Regions" is taking place in Arkhangelsk on August 13 and 14.
