Reshetnev Company, part of Roscosmos, has successfully completed fire docking tests of the correction system for prospective communication satellites. During the inspection, technological samples of the equipment were tested under conditions simulating engine operation in space.
Specialists checked the interaction of the main elements of the system, including correction engines, power and control equipment, and propellant supply units. The tests confirmed the operability of the components and their compliance with the requirements of the technical specifications.
Such checks allow identifying potential problems before the satellite is sent into orbit and ensuring that its propulsion system can perform the necessary maneuvers in real space conditions.
Ground tests ensure the operability of the spacecraft while still on Earth, before launch, which significantly increases its reliability in space.
Now, Reshetnev plans to proceed with the manufacturing of the standard correction system. After that, the equipment will undergo acceptance tests.
