One bullet - multiple trajectories: an engineer from Krasnodar invented an unusual cartridge inside a round

The development is designed for the joint movement of the main charge and additional damaging elements

An engineer from Krasnodar has patented a small arms cartridge design in which the main bullet is supplemented with several damaging elements. The development provides for placing a separate destructible cartridge inside the casing, which should hold them until the shot and ensure more coordinated movement with the bullet.

The patent describes a cylindrical container with an internal cavity. Inside it are additional damaging elements, and the cartridge itself is placed between the gunpowder charge and the bullet. After the shot, the container must break apart, releasing the elements inside.

The author of the development believes that this scheme allows reducing the initial dispersion of additional elements and forming a more compact area of their movement relative to the main bullet. As a result, one cartridge should combine the directed action of the bullet with additional distributed impact.

The design provides for different options for filling the cartridge - from several spherical elements to combinations of elements of various shapes. The container itself can have a polymer or metal body and is designed for controlled destruction after the shot.

The description also considers options for cartridges of different classes, including intermediate, rifle, and large-caliber ammunition. Special attention is paid to maintaining the coaxiality of the container and its stable position inside the cartridge.
