Russia produces enough jet fuel to cover all needs, the Ministry of Energy stated. According to the agency's forecast, in August, jet fuel production in the Russian Federation will increase by 4% month-on-month, reaching the level of August 2025.
As of early August, jet fuel reserves in Russia are at a standard level, and due to production, there is an opportunity to further increase reserves, the agency specified.
All necessary consumption volume will be met by the production level, therefore, kerosene production and consumption are in balance, including through the use of Russian aviation fuel.
Since late May, several Russian regions have experienced fuel shortages. The government has banned jet fuel exports until November 30, 2026, to stabilize the domestic fuel market.
In mid-July, Rosaviatsiya announced that authorities were controlling kerosene supplies to airports.
