The "Gosuslugi" portal is planned to be transformed from a regular service for obtaining public services into a full-fledged social media platform. And the "Max" messenger remains in the lives of Russians "forever," said Maksut Shadaev, head of the Ministry of Digital Development. The minister spoke at the VII All-Russian Forum "Digital Evolution" in Kaluga.
The Ministry of Digital Development plans to significantly expand the capabilities of "Gosuslugi". The new concept is to be presented in Kaluga, but initially, the presentation will be held in a closed format. What new social and media services will appear on the portal has not yet been disclosed.
At the same time, a proprietary messenger is not planned to be created in the updated "Gosuslugi". This function will be performed by "Max". The ambition of "Gosuslugi" is to become a large social media platform.
I will say right away that a messenger is not provided for in it, "Max" remains in our lives forever.
Plans to transform the service into a universal digital ecosystem became known in the summer. The office of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko stated that the advantage of "Gosuslugi" lies in user verification, which enables trusted interaction between citizens, businesses, and government agencies.
"Izvestia," citing sources, wrote that one of the modernization options could be the development of a proprietary social network based on "Gosuslugi" with a feed of publications and the ability to create thematic and local communities. Among other options are the creation of family services: chats for relatives, a shared calendar, and the ability to arrange public services for loved ones or on their behalf. But the relevant departments have not announced a final decision.
