Small flat-bottomed barge of project B2040 launched at Zhatay Shipyard

The non-self-propelled platform, developed by Proship Design Bureau, is equipped with two electrically driven ramps for loading equipment

Yakut shipbuilders have built a non-self-propelled small flat-bottomed barge-platform MP-41 of project B2040. The non-self-propelled vessel was launched at the production site of the Zhatay Shipyard.

Zhatay Shipyard is actively developing its production capacities and mastering the construction of modern fleet that meets all the requirements for operation on the inland waterways of Yakutia.

Project B2040 was developed by specialists of Proship Design Bureau. The vessel is designed for transporting vehicles and tracked equipment, accompanied by up to 10 people. Two independently electrically driven ramps are installed at the bow of the barge for loading and unloading equipment.

Characteristics of Project B2040 vessels:

  • Length — 20 m
  • Width — 6 m
  • Side height — 1.2 m
  • Draft — 0.6 m
  • Load capacity — 40 t
  • Cargo deck size — 14.0x67.2 m

Barge MP-41 can be operated during the navigation period in water basins of categories "L" and "R" (the list is established by the order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated 30.05.2026). The method of navigation is pushing or towing by a self-propelled vessel.
