The former plant of the Norwegian liquid food packaging manufacturer Elopak, located in the Utkina Zavod industrial zone in the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region, has suspended its operations. This was stated in a letter from the managing company of the enterprise, AO "Primekartonpak", which was sent to counterparties on July 30. "Vedomosti" reviewed its contents. The company itself confirmed the existence of the appeal to partners.
According to the document, on July 24, 2026, a fire occurred on the territory of the Utkina Zavod warehouse complex, as a result of which the production facilities of the plant owned by the company were damaged.
The causes of the fire at the "Primekartonpak" enterprise are currently being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
Currently, access to the territory, according to its representative, has been suspended for safety reasons and to carry out emergency recovery work. However, according to his information, the organization's production facility has been destroyed, and the equipment located there is beyond repair.
On the day of the fire, enemy drones attacked the Wildberries logistics center located in the same industrial zone.
