2 times smaller in size than foreign counterparts: new mulching mower KMK-170 launched in Bobruisk

The unit is suitable for installation on BELARUS tractors of traction classes 0.6 and 0.9

The Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units (BZTDiA, part of "MTZ-Holding") has started serial production of the KMK-170 mulching mower. This was announced by Sergey Maslakov, head of the marketing and sales department of the Belarusian enterprise.

The unit is designed for efficient mowing and simultaneous shredding of grass, large-stemmed vegetation, and even small shrubs.

The KMK-170 is equipped with 8 blades that cut grass even on uncultivated fields where there are stones. The BZTDiA development is 2 times smaller in size than foreign counterparts and is not inferior to them in quality, Maslakov emphasized.

Characteristics of the KMK-170 mower:

  • Working width of the implement — about 1.7 m
  • Minimum cutting height — 40 mm
  • Working speed — up to 10 km/h
  • Productivity — processing up to 1.35 ha/h

The mower is suitable for BELARUS tractors of traction classes 0.6 and 0.9. The unit can be used in horticulture, for maintaining household plots, and urban forest park areas. The KMK-170 will also be in demand in public utilities.
