A UTair airline aircraft, operating a flight from Tyumen to Ufa, returned to the departure airport after a technical issue arose. According to the schedule, flight UTA1427 was supposed to be operated by a regional turboprop aircraft ATR-72, but the crew decided to abort the flight and return to Roshchino Airport.
After takeoff, the crew assessed the situation and decided to return to the departure airport due to technical reasons. The aircraft landed normally. There were 126 passengers on board.
The Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Specialists from the agency are investigating the reasons for the aircraft's return and monitoring compliance with flight safety requirements, as well as passenger service organization.
Information about the nature of the technical malfunction has not yet been disclosed. After the inspection, it will be determined what caused the early termination of the flight.
Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported a similar incident with the same airline: in January 2026, a UTair aircraft, operating a flight from Dubai to Moscow, sent a distress signal and circled over the Persian Gulf for about two hours, burning fuel before an emergency landing. At that time, Rostransnadzor determined that the cause was power plant vibration, and the aircraft was temporarily grounded for technical inspection.
