Belarus unveils new Tarpan electronic warfare system: GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo jamming up to 50 km

The Radar Design Bureau's development is designed to protect critical infrastructure from drone threats and high-precision weapons

OAO "KB Radar" has begun intensive testing of the new Tarpan jammer, designed to suppress and misinform satellite navigation signals over a significant distance. The development was created for use as part of complex systems for protecting critical infrastructure and important facilities.

The new system generates radio interference capable of affecting navigation receivers of global satellite systems GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. According to stated characteristics, the range of radio suppression of satellite navigation terminals reaches 50 km.

Tarpan has received powerful transmitting modules and narrow-directional antennas with high gain, which increases the effectiveness of influencing navigation signals.

KB Radar notes that the transmitter is being developed as an element of integrated electronic warfare systems. It is planned to be used to cover territories, critical infrastructure facilities, and other important sites from threats associated with the use of unmanned systems and high-precision weapons.
