The share of vacancies for job seekers with generative artificial intelligence (GenAI, a class of AI technologies for creating content: text, images, program code, audio) skills in the Russian labor market has increased 5-fold over the past 2 years. This was reported by the press service of the Sberbank Center for Macroeconomic Research.
Experts analyzed 40 million vacancies and concluded that the labor market has begun to restructure. Demand is shifting from traditional skills to GenAI competencies.
The vacancies themselves increasingly require not only the automation of individual operations, but also the ability to enhance human work with the help of AI.
The labor market also shows a growing need for specialists in marketing, design, SMM, and administrative work with additional AI skills.
Thanks to AI, new professions have emerged:
- AI trainer (teaches neural networks to better understand requests and provide accurate answers)
- Prompt engineer (formulates and tests requests for neural networks to achieve the desired result)
- LLMOps engineer (ensures safe and cost-effective operation of large language models in industrial systems)
- AI agent developer (designs and implements autonomous AI-based systems)
- AI product manager (manages the creation and development of AI products)
The Center for Macroeconomic Research noted that the implementation of GenAI can increase labor productivity by 1.2%. In addition, AI will mitigate personnel shortages in various industries by reallocating resources, the experts concluded.
