FPV-drone "Gortenzia-10" inverted: bottom propellers provided up to 30% battery saving

The new modification of the FPV-drone "Gortenzia-10" received a redesigned structure that saves battery power, makes the flight more stable, and helps the engines cool more efficiently. The head of the unmanned systems service of the "Sever" group, with the call sign Utka, spoke about the new version of the drone.

Engineers moved the propeller-motor group to the lower part of the device. According to the serviceman, this solution reduced energy consumption by approximately 20–30% compared to the previous layout.

The drone's range is about 15 km and more. Further depends on how clear our radio horizon is.

Another change was the bottom placement of the battery. Now the battery simultaneously serves as a support when launching the device, which simplifies preparation for flight. In addition, the modernized engine cooling system allows the drone to climb to a height of up to 3–4 kilometers without losing efficiency.

According to Utka, the first tests of the new scheme exceeded the expectations of both developers and operators. Smoother control became one of the most noticeable results of the modernization.
