Four non-self-propelled hold barges to be built at R-Flot Group facilities for Vodolyot

The carrying capacity of the RHB2007NS project vessel is 92 tons

The R-Flot Group of Companies (Nizhny Novgorod) has signed an agreement with the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) for the construction of four non-self-propelled barges of project RHB2007NS. The vessels will be built for the Vodolyot company, the Group's press service reported.

Barges are open non-self-propelled hold barges. Their main purpose is to transport mineral and construction materials.

The barge will be loaded using hydraulic mechanization equipment and unloaded with a grab. Vodolyot plans to use the barges in inland waterways of categories "L" (waves up to 0.6 meters high) and "R" (waves up to 1.2 meters high).

Characteristics of RHB2007NS project vessels:

  • Length – 19.6 m
  • Width – 6.9 m
  • Side height – 1.5 m
  • Draft – 1 m
  • Displacement – 26.3 t
  • Cargo hold volume – 51 m³
  • Carrying capacity – 92 t

In addition to transporting bulk cargo, barges are needed for removing soil during dredging operations, servicing port infrastructure in shallow waters (transportation between berths, offshore unloading of large vessels), and hydraulic engineering construction (delivery of soil for embankment construction and shoreline reinforcement).

This type of vessel is also actively built at the Onezhsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant. These are projects NV600 (self-propelled soil-carrying barges) and PBSHB6 (self-propelled self-unloading barges).
